Job Description

Major, Lindsey & Africa is seeking, on behalf of our corporate client, to identify a US Legal Counsel to be based out of their Frisco, TX office.

Overview : US Legal Counsel

Company: International Management Consulting Company

Experience: 4+ years of experience

Location: Frisco, TX - Hybrid

Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of international commercial contracts, particularly engagement and services contracts with firm clients and suppliers
  • Support Partners and Principals with their client engagements and negotiation of contracts
  • Provide in-house legal advice in respect of acquisitions of new businesses as part of company’s growth strategy
  • Support the due diligence process and post-completion corporate and commercial matters
  • Work with the Operations team on internal matters such as commercial contracts, employment-related contracts, share option arrangements, policies, and data protection
  • Provide support in respect of the post-closing integration of acquired businesses
  • Work closely with lead General Counsel but must be confident to operate independently

Qualifications:

  • Admitted to practice in California, Texas, or New York
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in a US or International law firm
  • Previous experience of working as an in-house lawyer within a fast-growth culture
  • Sound knowledge and experience of commercial contracts including relevant intellectual property and data protection issues
  • Experience of corporate governance
