Our client has an immediate opening for a full-time Transportation Design Engineer . The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, flexible and ready for any assignment, and a good communicator. Your Responsibilities & Preferred Attributes:
- Assist and support design teams in the execution of projects.
- Provide technical support in various stages of the project, including preliminary design, final design, and contract documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise responsible and ethical decision-making.
- Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues during design.
- Maintain positive team relationships.
- Understanding and knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D software.
- Ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and criteria using sound judgment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- Engineering Intern (EI) licensure.
- Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- 0-3 years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of INDOT standards, procedures, and specifications.
