Ashley HomeStore, the #1 Mattress and Furniture retailer in North America, has an immediate opening for a Training Manager. The Training Manager is responsible for delivering job specific training initiatives to improve operational performance and ensure team members have the required skills, support, and coaching to succeed in their roles.This role primarily supports the sales teams but may be required to provide job specific training to any department or role across the organization.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Trains on the process of Selling Systems, Guest Experience standards, and any other job specific training as determined by the Manager, Learning Delivery
- Supports the planning and scheduling of training sprints
- Coaches and scrimmages with Sales Teams during Store Visits/
- Identifies Performance opportunities within a Store and Sales team member and partners with Store Leadership and Sales Team member to develop a plan for Improvement
- Leads in-store training events when needed
- Creates open communication climate across the Executive, Regional and Store leadership Team
- Supports the ongoing training and development through the execution and maintenance of the job specific training plans
- Monitors company objectives and results, reporting on impacts of training materials
- Work in store during Major Holiday Sales Events (as needed)

- Trains new team members to achieve an average of $60,000 in their first full 3 months after training
- Expert in Product Knowledge
- Teaches and interacts with team members through the vision, mission, and values of the company
- Uses technology to spread, evangelize, and teach the DSG EASY Selling System
- Facilitates all new hire training and certification from days 1-90
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES :
- 5+ years in the retail industry/sales. Required.
- 3+ years in curriculum design. Intermediate. Required.
- 3+ years in training delivery and facilitation. Intermediate. Required.
- 3+ years in team leadership/coaching/mentoring. Basic. An asset.
- 3+ years in business analysis, reporting. Basic. An asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or other related discipline. Recommended.
- Training and Facilitation certification. Required.
- Adult Learning certification. An asset.
- Instructional Design certification. An asset.
- Proficiency with Learning Management System technology. Required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite tools including Word, PPT, and Excel.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.

- Observes National Holidays of country of employment and Office Closures of head office of record.
- Valid Driver's License Required.
- Passport and ability to travel in North America ~20% of time. Single and multiple day with overnights.
