POSITION OVERVIEW:
We're looking for a Systems Engineer with a background in Citrix virtual environments, Windows server management, and cloud-based system operations. This role supports mission-driven cloud solutions with a focus on geospatial applications and virtual desktop environments. The successful candidate will be comfortable taking initiative and bringing a strong foundation in managing cloud-hosted infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and maintain virtual desktop platforms across various systems, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
Act as a liaison to both government and contractor personnel when investigating and resolving advanced incident reports.
Recommend and implement system-level changes to enhance efficiency and security posture.
Roll out patches, bug fixes, and updates to both staging and production cloud environments.
Draft and update technical and procedural documentation, including SOPs and system operation guides.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Active Top Secret clearance, with eligibility to upgrade to SCI after employment.
Compliance with DOD 8140 requirements (e.g., Security+ or comparable certification).
Hands-on experience managing Windows Server systems and completing hardening tasks based on security findings.
Practical knowledge of Citrix virtual infrastructure, including NetScaler administration.
Familiar with the lifecycle of system development, particularly in cloud and service-based architectures.
Understanding of cloud networking components such as subnetting, virtual private networks, firewall rules, and data flow management.
Proficient in AWS, particularly with services like EC2, S3, and reserved instances.
Familiar with version control platforms (e.g., Git, GitLab) and system engineering artifacts such as architecture diagrams and documentation.
Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
DESIRED SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS:
Experience supporting geospatial technology solutions.
Certifications in Citrix, AWS, or SAFe Agile methodologies.
Proficiency in desktop virtualization, F5 appliances, Active Directory Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
