Job Title: Systems Architect Document Specialist

Location: Remote (Preference for PST / New York Time Zones)

Duration: 6 Months (Potential for Extension)

Pay Rate: $100 - $113 / hour

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Architect Document Specialist to support the development of new tools and processes by documenting solution architectures, data flows, and deployment strategies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in technical documentation, solution and data architecture, and process documentation within a technical organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Documentation: Develop, structure, and maintain clear and detailed documentation on system architecture, data flows, and process workflows.
  • Solution & Data Architecture: Document current and future state solution architectures, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Process Flow Mapping: Create detailed process flow diagrams to illustrate system interactions, data exchanges, and integration points.
  • Jobs, Pipelines, & Scripts Documentation: Document pipelines, automation scripts, and related technical workflows for internal reference.
  • System Context Diagrams: Use tools like Lucidchart or Visio to illustrate system integrations and interactions.
  • Data Modeling: Maintain documentation for data models, data dictionaries, and data structure requirements.
  • Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs): Track and document NFRs, assumptions, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Define and document SLAs to ensure clear ownership and expectations for system performance and availability.
  • Deployment Documentation: Develop comprehensive deployment plans, change management strategies, and data migration documentation.
  • Change Management & Transition Planning: Document processes for system updates, transitions, and exceptions.
  • Establish Centralized Documentation Repository: Maintain version-controlled repositories to ensure accessible and up-to-date documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Must-Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in technical documentation, particularly in systems architecture, data flows, and process documentation within a technical company.
  • Strong understanding of solution and data architecture, process flows, and cloud-based platforms .
  • Experience documenting SLAs, non-functional requirements, and change management processes .
  • Proficiency in documentation tools such as Lucidchart, Visio .
  • Experience defining documentation formats and standardizing documentation structures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively document complex technical concepts.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to navigate ambiguous documentation needs and enable cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience leveraging AI capabilities for technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based integration technologies.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a highly skilled documentation expert with a deep understanding of solution and data architecture, process workflows, and deployment documentation. The role requires the ability to work independently, structure documentation processes, and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and business stakeholders.

Target Companies: Candidates with experience at Salesforce or similar tech-driven environments preferred.

Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree required.
