Uncle West Wash Park is looking for an accomplished Sushi Chef to join our kitchen. We're looking for a chef that embodies Japanese culinary mentality with a modern approach and the ability to push sales within the restaurant. Must work well in a high volume, team environment without ego.
-Ideally, at least 5 years sushi experience, 2 years in a managerial role.
-Must be able to train new cooks
-Responsible for ordering, inventory and correct costing of sushi menu
-Must have close relationships with suppliers to source the best ingredients
-Must be comfortable speaking with guests in an open kitchen format
-Hot line experience is a plus
-Toast POS & RASI experience a plus
-Additional bonus compensation structure based on sales and cost goals
