Structural Engineering Drafter

The Structural Engineering Drafter plays a critical role in supporting the structural engineering team by producing precise and detailed drawings. This role focuses on creating structural drafting documents in Revit for various projects, including new construction and renovations. While not involved in design work, the drafter ensures that all drawings align with project specifications and are ready for review by a licensed Structural Engineer. The position requires close collaboration with engineers and other team members to translate concepts into clear and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed structural drawings and models using Revit .
• Utilize AutoCAD as needed to support project requirements.
• Collaborate with Structural Engineers and other team members to ensure accurate and complete drawings.
• Prepare drafting documents for a variety of structural projects, ensuring clarity and compliance with project standards.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers or project managers.
• Maintain project files, drawing logs, and other documentation in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of drafting experience; structural drafting experience preferred but not required.
• Education: 2-year degree in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Experience with wood structures is required
• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to adapt and support project needs.
