Job Title: Strategic Marketing Specialist
Location: Miami Beach, FL (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 06+ Months with the possibility of extension
Pay rate: $20.46 - $22.46/hr.
Job Summary:
The Strategic Street & College Representative plays a vital role in promoting Latin music artists by forging local partnerships and executing grassroots marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Strategic Marketing Team, the role focuses on connecting Universal Music Latino talent with college communities, lifestyle brands, influencers, and local organizations to build awareness and fan engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with local influencers, media, brands, and campus organizations.
- Pitch artist campaigns and promotional opportunities to regional and campus partners.
- Execute and recap marketing activations, both virtually and in person.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contact databases.
- Support the ideation and execution of artist/brand campaigns.
- Participate in internal planning, brainstorming, and strategy sessions.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong communication and public-speaking skills.
- Ability to build and sustain partnerships across various platforms.
- Proficient in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
- Excellent organization and time management.
- Familiarity with youth and college culture in the U.S. Attention to detail, creativity, and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, Mailchimp (preferred). Graphic design and presentation skills (a plus).
Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) proficiency required.
- Experience in marketing, event planning, or brand representation preferred.
- Prior experience in university organizations or leading student groups is a plus.
Education:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a college/university program is preferred.
