What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement GNC algorithms for missile navigation, targeting, and control.
- Design and optimize guidance laws (e.g., proportional and lead-angle navigation).
- Integrate defense-grade sensors (GPS, INS, seekers) for real-time tracking and target engagement.
- Develop trajectory optimization and endgame targeting algorithms .
- Perform 6-DOF simulations, Monte Carlo analysis, and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing .
- Ensure compliance with DoD and ITAR regulations for missile technology.
- Collaborate with propulsion, avionics, and airframe teams to optimize system performance.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with defense startups, UAVs, or missile development programs .
- Prior work at leading aerospace/defense companies like SpaceX, Archer, Wisk, Joby Aviation, or similar .
- Familiarity with Missile Data Links and multi-sensor fusion for enhanced situational awareness .
What We’re Looking For
- 6-10 years of experience in missile or aerospace GNC engineering .
- Expertise in missile-specific GNC systems , including trajectory tracking and targeting.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++ for algorithm modeling, simulation, and control.
- Strong background in sensor fusion , integrating GPS, INS, and IIR seekers for missile targeting.
- Experience with 6-DOF simulations and Monte Carlo analysis for performance validation.
- Knowledge of DoD and ITAR regulations related to missile guidance systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
