We're looking for an entry-level Software Engineer (RPA) to join a dynamic team where you'll help design, develop, and enhance software solutions. In this role, you'll be troubleshooting production issues, working with cutting-edge technologies, and contributing to the development of new software products.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop RPA bots using platforms like Automation Anywhere and UiPath.
Design, develop, document, test, and deploy software applications using Python, JavaScript, Java, and SQL.
Build automated tests with tools such as Ansible, Selenium, JMeter, Junit, and other applicable tools.
Create CI/CD build and deployment pipelines using technologies like CloudBees/Jenkins, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and Bitbucket.
Collaborate with a remote, geographically dispersed Agile team, participating in daily scrums and contributing to project success.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation, infrastructure, and system-related issues.
Identify, report, monitor, and mitigate technical risks proactively.
Regularly communicate with team members to ensure the smooth completion of project objectives.
What We're Looking For:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline, completed within 12 months prior to hire, and at least one year of related experience through coursework and internships.
Hands-on experience with software development in HTML, JavaScript, and working knowledge of Python or Java.
Familiarity with distributed version control systems like Git and Bitbucket.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles and concepts.
Ability to work independently, but also thrive as part of a collaborative team.
U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance before your start date.
Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification) within 60 days of starting.
Desired Technical Skills and Experience:
Experience developing RPA bots in Automation Anywhere and/or UiPath.
Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
Previous experience working with a remote, geographically dispersed team.
Full software lifecycle experience (design, development, testing, deployment), especially in a production environment.
Experience developing software on UNIX platforms.
Web development experience using UI frameworks like React.
Familiarity with building and deploying DevOps pipelines using Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible (or similar tools).
Experience designing and building automated testing pipelines using tools like Ansible, Selenium, JMeter, Junit, etc.
Knowledge of cloud-based containerized environments, including Kubernetes and Docker.
Experience deploying software in DoD environments, including meeting DoD security standards (DISA experience is a plus).
Additional Information:
Clearance: Must be eligible for Secret clearance.
Travel: This position involves minimal travel (less than 10%).
Location: Primarily remote; however, candidates should reside within commuting distance to Fort Meade, MD, or Scott AFB, IL for on-site support.
