Are you an experienced logistics professional with a passion for efficiency and leadership? Join our team as a Shipping Lead and take charge of coordinating and streamlining our shipping and receiving operations.
We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and ready to lead a team to success while ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.
🔑 What You’ll Do
- Oversee all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Lead, train, and schedule shipping staff while conducting performance reviews
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with warehouse and procurement teams
- Negotiate with freight carriers and 3PL partners to secure the best rates and service
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms
- Ensure full compliance with local, federal, and international shipping regulations
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Manage packaging, labeling, and damage/loss claims
- Track key metrics and provide regular reporting on shipping performance
âś… What You Bring
- 2–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with systems like FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, or ShipStation
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with customs processes and international shipping (a plus)
- Ability to lift and handle packages and thrive in a fast-paced environment
🏢 Work Environment
- Combination of office and warehouse setting
- Occasional evening or weekend shifts during peak seasons
- Requires physical activity: standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
Compensation & Benefits
đź’° Salary: $15-$25 an hour (based on experience)
