24 Seven is partnering with a well-known, digital print agency in Portland, OR to help them find a Shipping Lead to join their team in this onsite opportunity. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with excellent benefits!
Ideal Candidate: will have at least one year of lead or supervisory experience, three years of packing/shipping experience or equivalent, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the team, providing training for new hires and overseeing the tasks of all shipping staff to ensure optimal productivity.
- Plan and coordinate the shipping staff schedule, including requesting overtime and approving time-off requests.
- Collaborate with various departments, adjusting priorities as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Utilize Lift software to manage and process jobs through the shipping department.
- Oversee quality control to ensure standards are met.
- Pack diverse materials for secure and safe shipment via UPS, FedEx, CourierDirect, and internal logistics.
- Coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs with CourierDirect while collaborating with internal receiving and installation teams.
- Maintain warehouse organization, inventory, and cleanliness.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of lead or supervisor experience.
- 3 years of packing/shipping experience or equivalent.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to lift 50lbs.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Lift software.
- Experience with Panotec Box on Demand machine.
- Experience using forklifts, electric jacks, and table saws.
