JOB SUMMARY:
Shipping & Assembly Lead must adhere to the quality and safety standards of the shop and surrounding areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in loading of outbound trucks.
- Must assist in the training of new employees.
- Must oversee daily outbound orders.
- Will be responsible for entering production ship dates for outbound jobs on the Production Schedule.
- Will be expected to work with various department leads in order to schedule components for builds.
- Make deliveries as required and pickup outgoing packages, etc.
- Prepare and label all outgoing materials to prevent in-transit damage.
- Prepare all appropriate shipping documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Creating packets for daily outbound orders.
- Quality control and document all packages.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must have 1-3 years of experience as an Assembly Lead or 5 years’ experience as a Shipping Specialist.
- High school diploma or GED.
- PC Skills – Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 to 75 lbs.
- Must be forklift certified.
- Overtime may be required and expected during busy seasons to complete jobs.
- Must have Exhibit/Trade Show experience.
- Ability to work accurately and quickly under company deadlines.
- Cooperative, courteous, flexible and good natured.
- Conscientious, persistent, resourceful, productive and active.
- Must have the ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships and deal with employees in an efficient and professional manner.
- Trade show experience a plus
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and commitment to meeting and exceeding deadlines and goals.
- Valid driver’s license.
