We’re seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to support our cloud migration initiatives, with a primary focus on lift-and-shift projects. In this role, you'll work closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure seamless transitions of workloads from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support lift-and-shift cloud migration efforts using Azure-native tools and best practices
- Design and implement Azure IaaS and foundational services (VMs, networking, storage, identity) to support migrated workloads
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, plan migrations, and troubleshoot issues during and after transition
- Develop scripts and automation (e.g., PowerShell, ARM, Bicep, Terraform) to streamline and repeat migration processes
- Ensure compliance with security and governance standards throughout the migration lifecycle
- Monitor performance and cost of migrated resources, recommending optimizations where appropriate
Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly in infrastructure services and migrations
- Strong understanding of Azure Migrate and related tools (ASR, Azure Site Recovery, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of networking, DNS, Active Directory, firewalls, and related infrastructure concepts
- Proficiency in scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform)
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices and cost management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, project-driven environment
Preferred:
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305)
- Experience with post-migration modernization and optimization
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
