Defense Contract Management Agency Security Specialist

Responsibilities:
Implements policies, standards, procedures, and security methods, and their applications.
Prepares local security operating procedures and supplements for agency personnel.
Serves as the security focal point between government agencies, customers, and contractors.
Prepares internal operating procedures for various assigned locations within the agency and ensures compliance with security regulations.
Maintains contact with military intelligence, FBI, AFOSI, NCIS, and local law enforcement to obtain current data.
Prepares emergency plans for sabotage, civil disturbance, terrorism, threats, and insurgencies affecting agency personnel, property, and facilities.
Directs and monitors the reduction of classified holdings and reports results of annual reviews and purges to higher management.
Provides assistance in classification issues and coordinates with appropriate activities to resolve these issues.
Reviews classification decisions based on classification guides.
Assists the Facility Security Manager in protecting classified information presented at meetings and briefings.

To qualify for a Security Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-03 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Providing guidance on policy and procedures relating to personnel clearance and access.
Developing or conducting training on physical, information, and personnel security matters.
Safeguarding personnel, physical and intellectual property, systems, and data.
Conducting security inspections or writing about physical security matters for Special Access Program or Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities.
Education:
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
