Document and summarize visits in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system (eMDs).
Assist the provider with procedures and patient care, including splinting, radiology, vaccines, medication administration, phlebotomy, and more.
Administer and document medications as directed by the provider.
Prepare, clean, and maintain exam and treatment rooms.
Obtain lab samples and follow up with patients once lab results are available.
Provide patient education at the end of the visit and address any follow-up questions.
Position patients for radiology procedures and remove any artifacts (training provided by UC4K).
Handle front office tasks, including insurance verification, patient registration, answering phones, and processing payments.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Clinic Hours of Operation:

Monday - Friday: 12:00pm – 9:00pm

Saturday / Sunday: 9:00am – 5:00pm

Requirements:

Genuine passion for working with children
Recent experience (within the last 3 years) in a Pediatric Office, Pediatric Hospital, or Urgent Care setting for a minimum of 6 months
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, NCMA, RMA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with a valid Texas license
BLS certification required (online renewals accepted from the American Heart Association)
Strong knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA regulations, basic clinical procedures, CLIA-Waived Testing, and EMR software
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
