Rewinder Operator ( 2nd Shift)
Pay Rate: $19.25 (for entry level), Higher pay depending on experience
Schedule: 5:45 PM-5:45 AM
(1) B-Shift : Sunday-Tuesday & every other Saturday
(1) D-Shift : Wednesday-Friday & every other Saturday
Position Description:
- Set up and operate rewinder machines based on work order specifications.
- Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished rolls for quality (e.g., correct size, alignment, label placement, and absence of defects).
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of rewinder equipment.
- Maintain accurate production records and log material usage and downtime.
- Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and palletizing finished products.
- Keep the work area clean and organized in accordance with safety standards.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience of operating a rewinder or similar machinery is preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or diagrams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends if needed.
