Job Description
The Revenue Cycle Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs related to revenue cycle operations, including patient access, billing, coding, collections, and compliance. This role ensures staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to meet regulatory requirements and organizational performance standards. The trainer collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify training needs, develop learning content, and implement best practices in revenue cycle management.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Must have 1-3 years of hands-on training experience within a classroom setting
Essential Functions:
- Design and deliver training programs for new hires and existing staff in all areas of the revenue cycle.
- Create training materials, including manuals, eLearning modules, job aids, and assessments.
- Stay current with changes in healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and internal policies to ensure training materials are accurate and up to date.
- Conduct training needs assessments in collaboration with department leaders.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions, making adjustments as necessary.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and processes within the revenue cycle.
- Provide one-on-one coaching or remediation as needed.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle workflows and best practices.
- Document training activities and maintain records in accordance with company policies.
- Partner with compliance and quality teams to support audit readiness and regulatory adherence.
Skills Set:
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer systems and related technology
- Skilled in troubleshooting, repairing, and assembling complex power wheelchairs
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and compassionately with patients
- Committed to maintaining strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and company policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines
- Must successfully complete internal certification process as required
