Location:
You will be based at our headquarters in Concord, MA, a workplace where creativity and teamwork are at the forefront. Our hybrid work model balances in-office collaboration with remote flexibility, with three days in the office and Thursdays/Fridays as remote, flex days. Please note that our office will be relocating to Waltham in June 2025.
Responsibilities:
As the Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will:
- Lead on all product-related regulatory matters for our R&D team.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with regulatory needs and business objectives.
- Provide expertise to ensure compliance with external regulations and company standards.
- Oversee ingredient and product compliance throughout their lifecycle.
- Advise on product concepts, claims, and formulations to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage claim substantiation and Non-GMO Project Verification certifications.
- Support internal and external customers on regulatory issues.
- Organize and report on testing related to regulatory analysis programs.
- Navigate business issues while balancing regulatory requirements and objectives.
- Monitor new and proposed regulatory changes and assess their impact.
- Advise senior management on regulatory changes, risks, and opportunities.
- Train internal teams on regulatory requirements and their implications.
- Lead regulatory-driven changes affecting product portfolios.
- Participate in trade associations as a subject matter expert.
Qualifications:

- Proficient in regulatory review and documentation processes and tools.

- Experienced in developing regulatory assessments for product portfolios.
- Adept at navigating regulatory complexities.
- Strong in written and oral communication.
- Effective in independent work and team collaboration.
- Skilled in stakeholder management for issue resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 7 years of regulatory affairs experience in the U.S. food and beverage industry.
- Extensive knowledge of US federal, state, and local food & beverage regulations.
- Expertise in FDA labeling regulations.
- Strong interdisciplinary knowledge in analytics and chemistry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with PLM systems preferred.
