Job Description
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
- At least eight to ten years’ experience as a project manager with a large industrial coating firm, managing large and small projects and crews.
- Must possess a NACE CIP Level 1 or Level 2 credentials.
- At least five years of estimating/quoting industrial coating projects.
- Experience blasting and applying protective coatings.
- Experience in a quality assurance role and documenting required project information for customers and the Company.
- Familiarity with NACE/AMPP standards, surface preparation and coating systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and ensure execution of all phases of industrial coating projects from quoting to completion of the project.
- Project estimating and costing.
- Build relationships and work well with clients, vendors, and internal teams to meet project objectives.
- Monitor budgets, schedules, safety compliance, and quality standards.
- Supervise field teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and client updates.
SKILL SET
- Ability to estimate/quote projects accurately.
- Demonstrated track record and experience managing crews to complete projects safely, at a high quality level, productively and profitability.
- Effective management of all aspects of a project including quoting the project through completion of the project.
- Excellent communication and organizations skills.
- Leadership skills and ability to mentor and train field staff.
- Display a strong commitment to working safely and being an advocate of the Company safety program.
- Fluency in Spanish is desired but not required.
