Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Austin, Tx
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
My client is a top HVAC contractor with an opening in Austin for a strong mechanical construction project managers. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience on commercial or industrial mechanical projects. If that sounds like you, let's connect!
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the superintendent to oversee activities on assigned projects.
- Ensure the accuracy of estimates.
- Conduct pre-construction meetings to ensure the team is up to speed on schedules and project requirements.
- Document meeting results and ensure action items are covered.
- Develop and track project schedules on assigned projects.
- Visit job sites daily to track progress and resolve potential issues.
- Manage project change orders to ensure they are incorporated into SOW.
- Provide takeoff, estimates, and pricing changes when necessary.
- Attend and conduct job meetings according to customer guidelines and schedule.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of mechanical construction in commercial or industrial settings.
- Experience negotiating contracts and change orders.
- Ability to solve complex issues on projects.
- Ability to oversee and interpret plans, specifications, isometric drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with job cost accounting software's.
- Able to be on call as needed including weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
