Introduce:

Established in 2000, the Meishi Film Academy offers eight undergraduate programs: Acting, Broadcasting and Hosting Arts, Drama and Film Directing, Drama and Film Literature, Radio and Television Editing and Directing, Film and Television Photography and Production, and Theatre and Film Art Design (with directions in Digital Film and Television Art Design and Character Modeling Design). Among these, the Acting and Broadcasting and Hosting Arts programs are recognized as specialty programs in Chongqing, with the latter being a first-class program in Chongqing and selected as a national first-class program in 2021.

The academy offers an academic master s degree in Drama and Film Studies under the first-level discipline of Arts, as well as a professional degree in Drama and Film. Drama and Film Studies has been designated a key discipline in Chongqing during the 12th, 13th, and 14th Five-Year Plans. Currently, the academy collaborates with the School of Big Data and Software Engineering to maintain the Chongqing Key Laboratory of Film and Television Intelligent Technology and Art, and with the School of Journalism to support the Chongqing Key Discipline Cluster of Journalism, Communication, and Film Arts. The Chongqing University Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries is also housed within the academy.

The academy currently enrolls nearly 1,000 undergraduate students and over 200 master s students. The faculty consists of 56 full-time teachers, including 9 professors and 22 associate professors. Additionally, the academy employs several renowned experts, scholars, directors, and actors from both academia and the industry as guest professors and part-time master's supervisors.

The academy s dedicated teaching building and Film and Media Arts Teaching Experiment Center cover over 10,000 square meters and are equipped with comprehensive facilities, including a library and audio-visual archive, film studios, TV studios, a small theater, academic lecture halls, a film mixing studio, digital slicing rooms, digital HD non-linear editing labs, photography labs, Foley labs, computer-aided design labs, stage design model rooms, makeup labs, rehearsal rooms, listening rooms, piano rooms, and physical training rooms.

The academy has established strong cooperative relationships with domestic film and television media, production companies, art schools, and major international film art institutions. The academy s development goal is to align with Chongqing University's Double First-Class initiative, aiming to build the academy into a highland for film and television art education that integrates teaching, research, and creation, and to become a first-class film academy nationally and internationally renowned.

Application Requirements: Candidates must have profound academic attainments and significant achievements in scientific research recognized by peers both domestically and internationally.

• Pre-tax annual salary of RMB 800,000, with additional performance-based rewards;

Associate Professor, Tenure-track Associate Professor

Hongshen Young Teacher

Application Requirements: Candidates should be doctoral graduates from other universities who possess an excellent academic background and achievements, have produced high-quality research outcomes, and demonstrate significant potential for innovative development.

Benefits:

• For the first 3 years, the pre-tax salary of RMB 250,000/year, with additional performance-based rewards. After passing the mid-term assessment, performance-based salary will be implemented according to the professional position standards.



• Relocation allowance of RMB 200,000;



• Research start-up funds of RMB 100,000 for science, engineering, and medical sciences, and RMB 50,000 for humanities and social sciences;



• During the appointment period, if the candidates are selected for the national postdoctoral innovative talent support plan, salary will be increased during the funding period.



• Hongshen Young Teachers can independently choose to enter the postdoctoral mobile station. If they enter the postdoctoral mobile station and stay in Chongqing for work after completing the postdoctoral period, an additional subsidy of RMB 150,000 will be provided by the Chongqing municipal government.
