Job Description
As urbanization and technological advancements continue to shape our world, the role of a Professional Land Surveyor has never been more critical. We are looking for a skilled and precise Professional Land Surveyor to contribute to the successful execution of construction, land development, and environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys to determine property boundaries and provide accurate measurements.
- Prepare and maintain detailed sketches, maps, and reports.
- Verify survey data for accuracy, including measurements and calculations.
- Operate and maintain advanced surveying instruments (GPS, theodolites, total stations).
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams on land assessments.
- Research legal records, survey data, and land titles to understand land context.
- Supervise and manage field staff to ensure accurate survey results.
- Prepare and present survey findings to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert advice on land development and construction projects.
Qualifications:
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure is required.
- Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in modern surveying technology and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with GIS software is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, local and federal laws.
- Solid organizational, project management, and mathematical skills.
- Physical fitness to perform fieldwork.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
