Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Production Manager to lead our on-site manufacturing operations in Brooklyn, NY . After successfully pivoting to produce high-demand PPE during the pandemic, we are now aggressively investing in our in-house production and sales infrastructure to become a major player in B2B medical and safety textiles.
This is a ground-floor opportunity for an independent self-starter to build and optimize a state-of-the-art manufacturing operation.
The Opportunity & Compensation
- Location: Brooklyn, NY (100% On-Site)
- Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift, Monday - Friday
- Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000+ (Based on experience and fit)
Key Responsibilities
As the Production Manager, you will be the owner of daily manufacturing success, focused on high-quality and high-volume output of items like masks, gowns, and other protective apparel.
- Operations Oversight: Oversee and manage all daily production operations on-site, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Team Leadership: Manage workforce scheduling, training, and performance for all production teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Efficiency & Cost: Monitor key production metrics and implement continuous improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design, Quality Assurance (QA), and procurement teams to align production schedules with overall business goals.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure rigorous equipment maintenance, maintain a safe workplace, and guarantee full compliance with all OSHA and specific PPE manufacturing standards/regulations.
- Problem Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for production issues, resolving them quickly to minimize costly downtime.
What You'll Bring (Required Qualifications)
We are looking for a dedicated leader who is ready to hit the ground running in our fast-paced environment.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in production management within the Apparel, Textiles, PPE, or Medical Device manufacturing industries. Candidates with Pharma/Biotech experience will not be considered.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and scale production teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, OSHA regulations , and relevant PPE manufacturing standards .
- Work Style: A self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and drive continuous improvement.
- Location: Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the New York area (100% in-person requirement).
- Bonus: Bi-lingual skills (Spanish or Chinese) are a significant plus, but not required.
