Private Equity Associate – Dallas, TX
A middle-market private equity firm is looking for a Private Equity Associate to join its investment team in Dallas . This role provides hands-on experience across the full deal cycle and meaningful responsibility working directly with senior professionals. The firm focuses on partnering with founder-owned and lower middle-market businesses, offering a collaborative environment where associates play a key role in evaluating new investments and driving value within portfolio companies.
Responsibilities
- Build detailed financial and valuation models (LBO, operating models, sensitivities).
- Support all phases of due diligence, including financial, commercial, and operational review.
- Prepare investment memos and presentation materials for the investment committee.
- Conduct industry research, market mapping, and assist with deal sourcing efforts.
- Partner with portfolio company management teams on performance tracking and value-creation initiatives.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of investment banking experience (M&A, Leveraged Finance, or related).
- Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Preference for candidates with personal or professional ties to Dallas.
