Life Academy in Roanoke, VA is looking for Teachers to join our team! We currently are looking to hire for several positions; some part time, some full time, and multiple age groups.

We are located on 7422 Deer Branch Rd. in North Roanoke County. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged. We are a well-established Christian daycare offering high-quality childcare with a Bible-based and spiritual emphasis in every age group and area.

Responsibilities

• The center is open from Monday - Friday between 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
• You'll be assigned a group of students to work with on a consistent basis, with a set schedule, with occasionally being asked to help sub as needed. We prioritize working together as a team and being flexible
• You'll plan, coordinate, and implement developmentally appropriate activities for the children in your care
• You'll provide a positive and nurturing learning environment to the children in your care
• You'll engage with parents in a professional manner regarding their student's performances

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (ideally children under the age of 5)
• Ability to remain calm, patient and positive with students
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Have a love for children and a desire to positively impact their lives
