Power Systems Engineer

Windsor Mill, MD

Hybrid 3 days in the office per week

Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate - $70,000 - $80,000/yr (Depending on Experience)

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented recent graduate to join our team as a Power System Engineer. In this role, you would be responsible for designing, analyzing, and maintaining electrical power systems for facilities in the greater Baltimore area. You would receive hands-on training, mentorship, and professional development, as well as work with a collaborative team of engineers.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics and engineering drawings
• 0-2 years of experience in a related field (internships or co-op experience is considered).
• Familiarity with power systems analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD) is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of electrical power systems and components.
• Analyze electrical schematics and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of power system projects.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and other team members to solve technical challenges.
• Conduct field inspections and assessments to ensure the reliability and safety of power systems.
• Participate in the testing and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.
