School Physical Therapist

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated School Physical Therapist (PT) to support students in achieving functional mobility and physical independence within the educational environment. The Physical Therapist will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students safely access and participate in school activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services to students in compliance with IEPs and 504 plans
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and re-evaluations using appropriate standardized measures
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Support students with gross motor development, mobility, posture, balance, and accessibility needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents/guardians, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and district guidelines
- Consult with staff regarding classroom modifications, adaptive equipment, and accessibility strategies
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Maryland Physical Therapy license (or eligibility)
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities
