Job Description

Position: Physical Surveillance Investigator

Location: NY/NJ area

Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Compensation: $38.00 – $42.00 per hour (Based on experience)

Are you an experienced insurance surveillance investigator with a passion for fieldwork and attention to detail? Join one of the largest and most respected private investigation and security firms in the region. We are actively seeking experienced surveillance professionals to conduct insurance and casualty investigations.

Please apply only if you have at least 2 years of prior experience conducting live close physical surveillance investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture covert video surveillance (mobile and stationery)

• Shoot clear, steady, and unobtrusive video documentation of subjects

• Prepare detailed and accurate investigative reports

• Upload video, photographic, and audio evidence into our case management system

• Maintain situational awareness and drive safely at all times

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of hands-on close surveillance investigation experience

• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the tri-state area as needed

• Flexible schedule, including availability for weekend and irregular hours

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Reliable vehicle with current auto liability insurance

• Ownership (or willingness to purchase) of:

• Video camera

• Digital video camera with uploading capability

• Two professional references

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Criminal Justice or related field

• PI license

• Strong observation, writing, and organizational skills

• Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence and integrity

• Prior experience in insurance, casualty, or workers’ comp investigations
