Pay rate is $17.50/hr. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION
Minimum Required- High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred - Phlebotomy certificate
CERTIFICATION Phlebotomy certification required within 18 months of hire.
EXPERIENCE Preferred - Previous phlebotomy experience in hospital setting through previous employment or through phlebotomy externship with an approved program.
SUMMARY Performs accurate identification of patient before collecting specimen or labeling specimen. Performs venipuncture and dermal puncture, collecting quality specimen. Collects quality specimens other than blood for testing (e.g. urine, DNA, fingerprints, swabs). Accurately processes patient orders. Accurately registers and enters courier work . Performs additional tasks such as copying, fax, mail sorting, filing and data collection.
