Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility based in Monroe WA. This is a 6+ Month with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Phlebotomist II

Location: Monroe WA.

Salary: $22- $ 25 per hour

Shift: 6:00AM to 6:00PM

Candidates will need to be available these times and a week before HM will send out schedule, for what site they will cover and what times. 8 hour shifts, not a shift from 6 AM to 6PM. HM did mention, if location is short staffed she might call the night before to have the worker cover.

Duration: 6 months+

Summary: We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in performing various duties related to specimen collection, troubleshooting, training, and workflow optimization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct blood draws and other specimen collections following established procedures.
  • Label specimens accurately and ensure proper storage and transportation.
  • Operate centrifuges and record maintenance data.
  • Update patient information in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Explain procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with straight needles and butterfly needles.
  • Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes accurately.
  • Package specimens for transport and ensure integrity during transportation.
  • Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend required annual trainings.
  • Answer inquiries and provide information on laboratory results.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Phlebotomy certification required (as per state regulations).
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
