Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Payroll Operations Associate to join our team. This hybrid role will require working onsite at our Knoxville office one day per week, with flexibility in selecting the day. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our payroll operations, ensuring accurate processing, and providing exceptional customer service to our employees.
Job Description
- Assist in the administration of payroll operations, including transaction processing, records management, and day-to-day transaction performance.
- Accurately enter payroll-related data, mail processing, and provide payroll processing assistance as needed.
- Resolve escalated payroll issues, including treasury and garnishment matters, and address tickets and other inquiries from employees.
- Assist in vendor auditing and participate in projects related to payroll services.
- Ensure quality customer service is delivered to employees and departments, maintaining effective communication via Teams.
- Review payroll audits for accuracy and data integrity, and recommend process improvements as necessary.
- Potentially provide training to clients and staff on payroll procedures.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable legal regulations regarding payroll processing.
Skills Required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in payroll or administrative support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (ability to enter formulas), Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of creating complex Excel formulas, macros, or pivot tables is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage diversity, manage work effectively, take ownership of tasks, and build strong customer relationships.
- Set day-to-day objectives aligned with job responsibilities.
- Handle routine tasks with moderate supervision.
- Exercise limited independent judgment in problem-solving.
Education/Certification/Training
- Highschool diploma or GED
