Job Description

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal I to join our Finance team in Cypress, CA . The Paralegal I will support the YMFUS legal function, including assistance with litigation, financing transactions, bankruptcy matters, fraud investigations, issues management, regulatory examinations, audits, and corporate governance.

What you’ll be doing:

• Litigation support, including assistance in preparation of correspondence, production requests, interrogatories, budget analysis, etc.
• Ongoing monitoring, review and documentation of bankruptcy filings and related matters.
• Corporate governance assistance, such as preparation of resolutions, committee minutes, and corporate filings.
• Assistance with fraud investigat9ons which may involve account and transaction analysis, document review, retention and coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Support for regulatory examinations and third-party audits, such as documentation production, issue tracking and remediation.
• Legal research around areas impacting business programs, regulatory changes, new product development, account servicing, etc.
• Perform other duties as required.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Associates and High School education required
• ABA approved paralegal certification
• 0-3 years paralegal experience; related experience working in financial services and/or corporate legal department a plus.
• Able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work within a team setting and collaborate with team members and stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. and Adobe Pro

Pay:

$53,200 to $87,770

Yamaha intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related experience. Base pay is part of Yamaha’s Total Reward program, our Talent Acquisition Team will share more details as candidates progress.
