Nuclear Engineering Project Manager
Location: Chesapeake, VA
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 + pay raises throughout first year and beyond

As a Nuclear Engineering Project Manager , you’ll oversee Reactor Coolant Pump Motor (RCPM) equipment projects, collaborating with production teams, engineers, quality control personnel, and vendors to deliver exceptional results.

Your Role:
As a Nuclear Engineering Project Manager, you’ll:
- Lead Projects: Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring customer specifications and purchase order requirements are met.
- Plan and Align: Develop detailed project plans, keeping production supervisors, engineers, and other stakeholders aligned and on track.
- Communicate Effectively: Ensure expectations and priorities are clear across all team members.
- Manage Challenges: Proactively identify potential roadblocks, implement solutions, and adapt to changes to keep projects moving forward.
- Document and Report: Prepare repair reports and document customer specifications accurately before work begins.
- Budget and Procure: Manage budgeting and procurement activities, draft proposals, requisition materials, and collaborate with the purchasing team to maintain compliance with nuclear industry standards.
- Customer Focus: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates, resolving issues, and ensuring they are informed at every stage.
Who We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- Veteran: Served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, Reserves or National Guard.
- Strong Technical Background: Ideal candidates often come from Navy Electrician Mate or Machinist Mate roles, or have prior nuclear industry experience.
- Organized and Self-Driven: Ability to manage multiple priorities with precision and initiative.
- Collaboration Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively across teams.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
- Professional Traits: Detail-oriented, humble, and eager to drive projects to success.
