Description We are looking for a Mold Maker in Tamarac, FL. As a Mold Maker you will utilizes various equipment and machinery, to effectively maintain and repair complex injection molds in support of our Production departments. Employment Type & Shifts Job Responsibilities - Apply knowledge of basic injection molding techniques and materials to troubleshoot issues with molds and finished product.
- Work in tandem with quality assurance to ensure manufactured parts are produced according to customer print requirements.
- Communicate daily with supervisor and coworkers regarding tool conditions, suggestions for improvement and spare parts inventory.
- Devise and implement corrective actions for tooling issues that are affecting part quality and/or tool efficiency.
- Communicate with prior and oncoming shifts to give work assignments and expectations to achieve production plan.
- Take action to reduce tool build, repair, and scrap costs.
- Provide training to operators as needed.
- Participate in preventative tool maintenance including, but not limited to, grinding spare parts for tools.
Education /Skills /Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED.
- Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and safety.
- 10 to 15 years of Injection Molding experience, preferably in the Automotive and Medical Industry.
- Experience in reel-to-reel molding, insert molding and decoupled molding a definite asset.
- Possess the requisite skills to maintain and repair complex injection molds.
- Possess the knowledge and comprehension of basic injection molding, including fundamental machine design and function.
- Possess the basic knowledge and comprehension of plastic resins and the processing of each in a particular application.
Associate Requirements - HS Diploma or GED
- Background Check
- Able to Lift 50 pounds
- Drug Test
- Must be at least 18 years old
