We are looking for a Mold Maker in Tamarac, FL. As a Mold Maker you will utilizes various equipment and machinery, to effectively maintain and repair complex injection molds in support of our Production departments. Job Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of basic injection molding techniques and materials to troubleshoot issues with molds and finished product.
  • Work in tandem with quality assurance to ensure manufactured parts are produced according to customer print requirements.
  • Communicate daily with supervisor and coworkers regarding tool conditions, suggestions for improvement and spare parts inventory.
  • Devise and implement corrective actions for tooling issues that are affecting part quality and/or tool efficiency.
  • Communicate with prior and oncoming shifts to give work assignments and expectations to achieve production plan.
  • Take action to reduce tool build, repair, and scrap costs.
  • Provide training to operators as needed.
  • Participate in preventative tool maintenance including, but not limited to, grinding spare parts for tools.

Education /Skills /Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and safety.
  • 10 to 15 years of Injection Molding experience, preferably in the Automotive and Medical Industry.
  • Experience in reel-to-reel molding, insert molding and decoupled molding a definite asset.
  • Possess the requisite skills to maintain and repair complex injection molds.
  • Possess the knowledge and comprehension of basic injection molding, including fundamental machine design and function.
  • Possess the basic knowledge and comprehension of plastic resins and the processing of each in a particular application.
