We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Rheumatologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating a wide range of rheumatic diseases, including autoimmune disorders, arthritis, musculoskeletal diseases, and other conditions affecting the joints, muscles, and bones. Practice Details
- Outpatient only practice
- Office hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (last patient scheduled at 4:15 pm)

Key Responsibilities :
- Diagnose and treat a wide variety of rheumatic diseases , including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, scleroderma, gout, psoriatic arthritis, vasculitis, and other autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments , including medical history reviews, physical exams, and interpreting lab results, imaging studies (X-rays, MRIs), and other diagnostic tools.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), biologic therapies, immunosuppressive agents, and physical therapy.
- Manage long-term care for patients with chronic autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, monitoring their progress, medication adherence, and treatment response.
- Offer patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, medication side effects, and pain management strategies.
- Provide joint injections , aspirations , and other procedures to help manage pain and inflammation in affected joints.
- Collaborate with other specialists, such as orthopedists , pain management specialists , cardiologists , and primary care providers , to ensure comprehensive care for patients with complex conditions.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in rheumatology treatments , including new biologic therapies, immunotherapies, and emerging research findings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and progress in the electronic health record (EHR) .
- Participate in on-call services as needed for emergency or urgent care.
- Collaborate with research teams (if applicable) to contribute to studies focused on rheumatic diseases and treatments.
Required Qualifications :
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology .
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in Arizona.
- Proven clinical experience in diagnosing and treating rheumatic diseases .
- Proficiency in interpreting rheumatologic lab tests , imaging studies (X-rays, MRIs), and other diagnostic tools.
- Expertise in the management of autoimmune diseases , inflammatory arthritis , and musculoskeletal disorders .
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to provide in-office procedures such as joint injections and aspirations .
Preferred Qualifications :
- Fellowship training or specialized experience in autoimmune diseases , psoriatic arthritis , or inflammatory bowel disease (if relevant).
- Bilingual or multilingual skills (preferred, depending on patient population).
- Familiarity with emerging biologic therapies and targeted immunotherapies .
- Interest in research related to rheumatology (optional).
- Experience with interventional procedures like joint injections or musculoskeletal ultrasound (preferred).
