Job Description
2nd shift hours: Monday - Saturday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.
Mission: Manage shipping and receiving in order to meet customers requirements
Main Activities:
- Ensure customer delivery
- Supervise preparation area and the loading of finished product on trucks
- Follow up shipments, alert in case of failure
- Implement customer MPM (misdeliveries per million) follow up and contribute to reduce MPM
- Monitor the kan-ban system
- Ensure supplies of production lines
- Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of stocking and dock areas
- Ensure production lines feeding
- Manager inventory controls in warehouse of finished goods and components
- Supervise daily loading and unloading of semi-trucks, placing emphasis on safety and ensuring that quantities received are 100% accurate.
- Develop and manage warning (Max & Min) in warehouse
- Drive logistics implementation (booking operations, traceability, labeling, container management)
- Manage scheduling process
- Monitor visual management system; deploy visual FIFO and install physical alert systems
- Organize resources (people. Machines)
- Schedule weekly/monthly meetings with logistics team
- Look for productivity gains, improving timeliness or reducing cost
- Manage, train and coach the logistics team
- Participate in Continuous Improvement tools (POSITIVE, POMs, Focused Improvement Roadmap, etc).
Specific Activities
- Upon successful completion of applicable Hazardous Materials Training, may be required to handle and/or transport hazardous materials and chemicals.
Competencies:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- 10 years of experience in materials management
- Experience in JIT Automotive business.
- Experience in MRP/Scheduling.
