WHERE THIS ROLE WILL SIT:

  • Hybrid - onsite 4 days per week
  • Travel up to 10%

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

  • Lead the centralization and management of all leave programs (FMLA, STD, ADA, etc.), including building and training a new team of leave specialists within the Total Rewards group.
  • Oversee and audit Third-Party Administrator (TPA) leave processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company leave policies while managing escalations and vendor relationships.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and presentations to HR and business unit leaders on leave management processes, system navigation (UKG Dimensions), and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with business leaders across union and non-union environments to support field operations, manage accommodations, and drive leave-related projects; occasional travel required.
  • Improve and streamline leave management processes, ensuring best practices in compliance, employee experience, and operational efficiency for an employee base of 17,000+.

BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in HR, Benefits, Payroll, and Leave Administration, including direct leave oversight and project management; 3+ years of people leadership experience required.
  • Strong experience in leave centralization, vendor management, field leadership engagement, and presenting leadership and training programs; UKG Dimensions experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage and audit Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), ensure compliance with federal and state leave laws (ADA, FMLA, Military, Paid Leave), and support leave-related initiatives.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) certification a plus.
  • Willingness to travel quarterly (mostly East Coast), work a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote), and build/manage a growing leave management team within a 17,000-employee organization.
