LaSalle Network is currently partnering with a major education organization. They are seeking a
Lab Technician to join their team. This position is based in Evanston, IL and the position will be expected to be onsite. This is a contract opportunity.
Lab Technician Responsibilities: - Supports the deployment of complex software/hardware solutions to labs and AV systems
- Troubleshoots issues with existing equipment including hardware, software and network issues
- Provide consultative support for faculty and staff regarding audio-visual technology solutions for new or emerging requirements
- Perform routine site visits and equipment checks of supported spaces that includes making recommendations on equipment replacement and upgrades
- Design, test and support specialty spaces native to the post-production facilities and labs
- Work collaboratively with information technology staff on updating hardware, software and networking in specialty spaces
Lab Technician Requirements: - Audio/Visual production and lab management
- Ticketing system experience
- Team Dynamix, troubleshooting and AV experience
- Well versed in best practices for keeping a production environment patched and secure
- Experience working with any of the following titles: Avid Pro Tools, Adobe CC, iLok, License Manager, Cycling ’74 Max, Reaper, Autodesk Maya, Blender, DragonFrame , Maxon Z-Brush, UNITY, unreal engine, SKETCHUP, VECTORWORKS, Corel Painter or Lightworks
