Job Description
Established Commercial Landscape Company has an immediate opening for an Irrigation Manager. The position is to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our commercial irrigation department. Applicants should have a strong background in large-scale commercial irrigation projects, including production, job costing, budgeting, scheduling, and material purchasing. We strongly prefer candidates who have worked in the landscape industry and have demonstrable experience with irrigation, preferably in coordination with landscape, site construction, and hardscape projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale irrigation projects in conjunction with landscape and site construction.
- Oversee the installation of and servicing of all systems, as well as, ensuring full functionality.
- Performing and overseeing repairs (billable work), contractual work (checking and adjustments to systems), and writing service tickets for all completed service calls.
- Repairing and maintaining valves, tracing electrical components, installing and initializing clocks and timers, locating existing valves, and performing all necessary repairs.
- Ensuring that all customers are completely satisfied through effective and proper communication.
- Maintaining open lines of communication with internal staff.
- Working in a supervisory role in a fast-paced team environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years in irrigation management, sales, and installations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organized and able to manage time
- Experience managing multiple projects and the ability to multi-task
- Excellent Computer Proficiency
- Local knowledge and contacts preferred
