**Houseperson [Custodian] Facilities Department**
**Job Summary:**
To assist the Facilities Director in achieving the highest sanitation, safety, comfort, and aesthetics standards.
**Job Knowledge, Core Competencies, and Expectations**
* Knowledge of how to maintain, clean, and preserve a wide variety of building surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and equipment
* Knowledge of basic chemicals and their use
* Knowledge of and ability to perform the required role in emergencies
**Responsibilities include:**
* Perform daily housekeeping requirements that include cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing
* Perform light maintenance. (Minor repairs, troubleshooting, pressure washing, painting)
* Ordering and maintaining proper inventory par levels of housekeeping supplies
* Receives and/or collects orders from various stores and businesses
* Transporting teammates locally when needed
* Assists various departments when needed, including but not limited to Laundry, F&B, Golf Cart Storage
**Requirements:**
* Must be able to work flexible shifts with a primary focus on 2nd shift, weekends and holidays
* Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
* Must be highly motivated and well organized
* Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
* Light computer work required (spreadsheets, ordering, in house HVAC program)
**Physical Demands and Work Environment**
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping and climbing. Ability to use ladders and various tools when required
* Continuous standing and walking
**Education and/or Experience**
* High School diploma or GED equivalent
* One year of comparable custodial work preferred
* Bilingual in Spanish not necessary but preferred
