Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload furniture from delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling and protection.
- Deliver furniture to customer homes according to scheduled routes.
- Assemble furniture as needed, following assembly instructions accurately.
- Inspect furniture for any damage prior to delivery and upon customer receipt.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any delivery-related issues professionally and courteously.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the delivery truck.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, such as loading and unloading incoming inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving commercial vehicles (preferred).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Ability to read and understand assembly instructions.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy furniture.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Working in various weather conditions.
