Overview:

We are looking for a Full Time compassionate and dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Associate (PA). The Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate will provide high-quality healthcare to underserved populations, including migrants. This is an on-site position that requires a commitment to supporting the health and well-being of the community. The Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate must have a valid and current license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate in the state of Texas and a certification as an FNP by the ANCC or AANP, or as a PA by the NCCPA.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients of all ages.
• Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
• Manage acute and chronic illnesses, prescribe medications, and provide patient education and counseling.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and other support staff to ensure coordinated and effective care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in community outreach and health education initiatives to promote wellness and disease prevention among migrants and other underserved populations.
• Stay current with medical research, best practices, and regulatory requirements to provide evidence-based care.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER/ PHYSICIAN ASSOCIATE POSITION: The Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate must have a valid and current license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate in the state of Texas and a certification as an FNP by the ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Cente) or AANP (American Nurses Credentialing Center), or as a PA by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).
