This is an exciting opportunity for a startup of a regional engineering team to serve the greater community in fire protection design. We are a nationally recognized and growing engineering and risk consulting firm is seeking a seasoned and strategic Regional Practice Manager (RPL) to lead business development, team operations, and technical execution in a designated region. This leadership role combines engineering expertise, client relationship development, and operational oversight to drive continued growth in fire protection and life safety consulting services.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an engineering-minded leader to grow a region, mentor technical professionals, and contribute to complex, multi-discipline client solutions in the fire protection and risk mitigation space.

We have three positions in three different regions available:
- Florida-start up
- Arizona- current has small team
- North East -start up
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with an Assistant Regional Practice Leader to manage project workflows, staffing, and performance metrics
- Drive new business development with your fire protection expertise design , identifying and engaging with prospective clients and partners
- Expand market presence by researching industry trends, attending events, and building professional relationships
- Work closely with internal teams and assist to develop client proposals , pricing, and scopes of work
- Maintain subject matter expertise in fire protection engineering, building codes, risk mitigation , and compliance regulations
- Oversee high-quality delivery of engineering services to new and existing clients
- Support recruitment, development, and retention of technical staff in alignment with company values and performance standards
- Serve as a thought leader and regional ambassador for the company’s engineering practice
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in engineering, architecture, or fire protection or similar mechanical design practices
- Management experience (4+ years) leading a small fire engineering consulting team
- Proven success in relationship management
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture preferred or equivalent
- PE license (Professional Engineer) preferred or willing to obtain
- NICET certification or Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with relevant building/fire codes, NFPA standards, and risk compliance strategies
