Financial Analyst - Cross-Functional Reporting — Reno, NV

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded Financial Analyst to support financial planning and cross-functional reporting for two high-growth craft distilleries. This junior-level role will focus on compiling, analyzing, and presenting data across finance, sales, marketing, and operations. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting, experience with QuickBooks and Excel, and a desire to grow within a dynamic consumer goods company.
This position is based in Reno, Nevada, with a remote start until our office is established (expected August 2025).
Primary Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs for leadership review
- Support monthly close by gathering and validating financial data
- Assist with variance analysis, budget planning and budget vs. actual reporting
- Provide ad-hoc reporting for the President of Stockwell
Sales & Marketing Analysis
- Monitor and report on sales performance, depletions, and marketing ROI
- Collaborate with the sales team to track distributor orders and customer trends
- Help analyze digital and DTC performance metrics
Operational Reporting
- Partner with distillery operations to track production volumes, yields, and inventory
- Assist in building reporting tools that connect data across systems (QuickBooks, Whiskey Systems, Shopify, etc.)
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work across departments to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Help streamline and automate recurring reports and workflows
- Support ad hoc analysis requests from leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, FP&A, or financial analysis
- Solid understanding of financial statements and cost accounting principles
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in CPG, beverage alcohol, or manufacturing a strong plus
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; comfortable handling large data sets
- Effective communicator who can translate numbers into insights
- Proactive, adaptable, and excited to contribute to a fast-growing team
