What You’ll Do:
- Inspect & test electro-mechanical equipment to diagnose issues
- Perform electrical tests using advanced tools like Megger, Surge, and HI-Pot
- Conduct mechanical inspections on sleeve-bearing machines
- Perform on-site analysis, including electrical testing, vibration analysis, and shaft alignments
- Create and submit detailed reports on completed work
- Communicate findings to customers in a clear and professional manner
- Represent HECO with integrity and professionalism on every job site
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in electric motor field service OR millwright experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude – experience with rotating equipment is a plus!
- Team player with solid communication skills
- Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong technical reporting skills
- Willing to travel (~40%), including overnight stays
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
- Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
- Stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for extended periods
- Work in various weather conditions and challenging environments
- Perform manual labor for 12+ hours per day when required
