Berkeley Animal Hospital is a newly opened (June 2023) and privately owned clinic in Berkeley. We are seeking a full-time veterinary assistant(s) to join our team as we continue to grow.

About You:

- Ability to give feedback to management and not partake in workplace gossip.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with patients, clients, and coworkers.
- Maintain proper documentation and medical records as required by law.
- Comfortable using multiple digital platforms (i.e.: Windows, Gmail, and Google Drive). Our software is Neo, a cloud platform, and we will train you if you have not used this program before.
Clinical Expectations include:
- Provide compassionate care to every patient.
- Perform routine diagnostic procedures (i.e.: various lab work and radiology).
- Accurately prepare medications and workstations upon DVM or RVT request.
- Assist DVM and RVT with all technical aspects of dental and surgery (i.e.: patient preparation and recovery, procedure preparation, and sterilization).
- Understand vaccine protocols.
- Dental experience preferred.
- Assist mobile veterinary specialists in cardiology, endoscopy, and surgery.
- Ability to monitor and Record dogs and cats proficiently under Anesthesia
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous Veterinary experience.

About Berkeley Animal Hospital: We are a newly constructed and privately owned small animal clinic. We have a 3000 square foot facility with 5 exam rooms, a large treatment area, dental suite, surgery suite, and Fear Free warming cages. We offer acupuncture and have on call specialists that include: internal medicine, cardiology, and surgery.
