Job Summary

If you’re interested in an Entry Level Biologist, then this is the best role for you. Biologists study the basic principles of plant life and the effects of varying environmental and physical conditions. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within plant science.

 

Job Description

• The position involves agrobacterium transformation to generate plants, green house experience, and lab keeping.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and be able to work independently with minimum supervision.

 

Skills Required

• The individual should possess strong verbal and written skills, be team-oriented and self-motivated.
• Familiarity and/or experience with tissue culture, sterile technique, germplasm and agrobacterium-based corn transformation are a plus.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

• A R&D biologist with a minimum of bachelor’s degree in plant biology, plant breeding, microbiology and at least 1 years of lab experience.

 

Additional Requirements (as applicable)

• Must be able to pass drug screen & criminal background check.
• Shift: 9:00 AM
• Willing to work occasional early mornings and late evenings, Monday - Friday.

 

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $15.00 to $24.00 per hour based on qualifications.
