Lutheran Senior Services (LSS) is seeking a visionary Director of Data Science to lead our data strategy and drive impactful insights that support our mission.
K ey Responsibilities :
- Define and manage the organization's data science strategy.
- Deliver predictive analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions to optimize decision-making.
- Ensure the integrity, quality, and governance of data across the organization.
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to develop innovative, data-driven strategies.
Future-Focused Goals :
- Build predictive models to forecast trends and optimize outcomes.
- Automate processes with AI and machine learning.
- Elevate data visualization tools alongside Power BI to enhance insights.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years in data science
- 3+ years leading a team focused on data science
- Proven expertise in tools like Python, R, SQL, and machine learning frameworks.
- Strong storytelling and visualization skills to translate data into actionable insights.

Our ideal candidate is located in a state in which Lutheran Senior Services (LSS) currently operates (MO, IL or PA) or is open to relocation. This role is remote with up to 25% travel.
