Join our team as a Directional Drill Operator in Fowler, California, where your expertise will play a crucial role in our operations. We are seeking candidates with a Class A Driver's License and a minimum of two years of experience operating Directional Drills - Preferably Ditch Witch.

Your main responsibility will involve transporting and operating drilling equipment to create underground pathways for pipes and conduits. Proficiency in equipment operation, following technical instructions, and maintaining drilling machinery is essential. Responsibilities

•Operate horizontal directional drilling equipment to accurately install underground utilities, pipelines, and other infrastructure components
•Interpret and follow drilling plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient installations
•Maintain and troubleshoot drilling equipment, ensure proper functionality, and minimize downtime
•Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
•Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, and other team members to achieve project goals
•Monitor drilling progress, making adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency
•Document and report drilling activities, including progress, obstacles, and equipment maintenance
•Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members
•Adapt to changing job site requirements and perform additional tasks as needed
•Mixing mud to correct viscosity as well as knowledge of what types of additives are needed per ground conditions

Qualifications

•Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
•Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Directional Driller, preferably in the underground utilities or pipeline industry
•Proficient in operating horizontal directional drilling equipment and related tools
•Strong understanding of drilling procedures, safety protocols, and industry best practices
•Ability to read and interpret drilling plans, blueprints, and specifications
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work well with others
•Physically fit and able to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods
•Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site requirements
•Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
